Open views on a slope Powder-coated aluminum keeps sightlines open. Racking limits depend on style and slope; pool barriers need the right panel, clearance and gate.

Pets, budget, and speed Nothing keeps a dog in a yard cheaper. Black vinyl coating makes it nearly disappear against a tree line.
Composite
Wood look, no upkeep Heavy, dimensionally stable, the closest thing to permanent. The premium option and it knows it.

Rock and hardpan
Rock and hardpan change how we reach the required depth. The method and excavation work need to be allowed for in the scope; footage alone doesn't describe the job.

GRADE
Slope and changes in level
A sloping run can change panel layout and the work around each gate. We look at those changes during the walk so the quote reflects the yard you're building on.

OBSTRUCTIONS
Roots and old footings
Roots, stumps, old concrete, and marked utilities can limit where equipment works. Tell us what you know about the line; obstructions can change both access and installation time.

WATER
Wet ground
Standing water and soft ground affect the installation method. We assess what the site needs before treating it as a standard run, and explain the work included in the estimate.

REMOVAL
The fence already there
Removal and disposal need their own place in the quote . Check whether old panels, posts, and concrete are included. The drawings below explain construction; this tab explains why the site changes the number.

WORKMANSHIP
The first year is on us
Every install comes with a one-year workmanship warranty at no charge, starting the day the job is complete. Loose pickets or rails, fasteners backing out, a gate that stops working right, or a structural failure from an error we made: we come back. That is not a favor and it is not a negotiation. It is the deal you paid for.

LONGER
Three years or five, your call
The third and fifth winters are when a shallow post or a cheap bracket shows itself, so the longer tiers keep us on the hook through them. Three years of the same coverage, three years with priority scheduling when you call, or five years with an inspection each year on request, minor adjustments covered, and a two-hundred-dollar credit toward a re-stain. Each is an upgrade at the quote, priced in daylight like everything else.

THE PAPERWORK
In your hand, day one
A warranty that lives in our filing cabinet is marketing. Yours arrives the day we finish, in plain sentences, with the workmanship coverage stated, one to five years by the tier you chose, and the manufacturer's material coverage attached so you can read it yourself and hold us to it.

ADD-ONS
Two things worth adding
A stain job is only as good as the prep under it, so when we apply the stain or seal we warrant it for two years against peeling, blistering, flaking, and uneven fading, with one spot re-application in the first twelve months. And a fence that outlasts your time in the house should carry its paper to the next owner, so for a one-time transfer fee the coverage goes with it.

AFTER THE STORM
Local means here
When a front comes through and half the street is calling, local means we are actually here. You are not a ticket number in another state.
CHECK ANY QUOTE, INCLUDING OURS
No depth listed. If a quote never says how deep the posts go, it is not a quote, it is a guess.
Post spacing missing. Wider spacing saves them money and costs you a straight line in year five.
Hardware unnamed. “Standard hardware” is where rust hides. Ask for galvanized and coated, in writing .
Tear-out excluded. The cheapest bid is often the one quietly leaving your old fence in the yard.
Verbal warranty . If it is not on paper the day they leave, it does not exist.
No gate detail. Gates fail first. A quote that ignores them will bill you for them later.

Posts Set Below The Frost Line
Missouri ground freezes and thaws through winter, working shallow posts loose. Our usual post depth is 30-36 inches , with the required depth checked for the site. The footing needs to suit the local frost conditions and the fence above it. That work disappears underground, but it matters long after installation.
N1 A Base That Drains, Not A Bucket That Holds
Drainage matters at the bottom of the hole. We place a compacted gravel base beneath the post to help water drain instead of collecting around the footing. Depth and drainage work together; neither is a reason to skip the other.
N2 Plumbed, Braced, And Left To Cure Right
Depth only pays off if the post is plumb when the concrete sets. We check two faces with a four-foot level, brace the post, and let the footing cure before hanging panels. A straight post starts with that check, not an adjustment after the fence is loaded.

Driven Posts, No Mess Left Behind
Depth is half of it. How the post gets there is the other half. Where the soil and fence system allow, we drive posts into undisturbed ground. Where rock or the design calls for concrete footings , we dig and set those. The site decides which method fits.
N1 Less Excavation Where Driving Fits
Driving avoids an excavated hole and the spoil that comes with it. That can reduce disturbance along the line. It's a useful method where the conditions support it, not a promise that every yard can be built the same way.
N2 Driven, Not Dug And Guessed
Firm ground supports a driven post along its buried length. A dug post relies on its footing. We choose the system for the ground and fence, rather than assuming the same hole and method belong everywhere .

Hardware That Survives The Seasons
The standard runs out of the ground and into the hardware. We specify galvanized or coated connections suited to the fence and its exposure, so the small parts receive the same attention as the posts.
N1 Gates That Still Latch In Year Five
Gates put moving weight on their connections every day. We brace them on the diagonal and use hinges rated for the load, helping keep the opening square and the latch lined up as the gate swings.
N2 Know What Holds It Together
Screws, brackets, post caps, and tension bands deserve names in the specification . Check those details alongside the panels: a fence depends on the connections between its larger parts.

Braced For Missouri Weather
Wind is where those connections get tested. Post spacing follows the material, panel size, and exposure. We brace the runs that need it instead of stretching a span to save a post.
N1 Support Matched To The Panel
A solid privacy panel catches more wind than an open fence. The support has to match that surface, especially along exposed runs. The same layout doesn't suit every material.
N2 Braced To Take The Wind Broadside
That load travels through rails and posts into the ground. Corners and end runs need particular attention because the forces change direction there. Bracing helps the fence carry the load as a connected structure.

Every Line Shot Straight Before The First Post
And straight starts before any of it. We use the available survey information and property markers to plan the run, then lay it out with a laser. If the boundary isn't clear, it needs to be settled before installation; a straight line alone doesn't establish ownership.
N1 Gates Planned On The Drawing, Not Improvised
On that layout, we decide which way each gate swings, which side it latches, and the approach it needs. Walk gates belong where you walk. Drive gates need clearance for the vehicles that use them.
N2 Marked Once, Built To The Mark
The agreed layout becomes marks on the ground: post centers, the run, and gate openings. The crew checks those measurements as it builds, so the drawing and the fence stay connected.
