WHY WE ARE HERE
Norborne is a small town with a big festival, a grain elevator on the tracks and lots that would count as acreage anywhere in the metro. South of town the ground goes dead flat into the river bottoms; north it rolls up into Carroll County prairie.

The bottom ground is deep silt with the water table close under it in spring. It is beautiful to dig in July and a bathtub in April. On the upland side it is clay. We set the calendar and the post depth to the ground your lot sits on, and we will tell you if a job should wait for the yard to dry.
Most Norborne fences are doing a job: keeping a dog home, marking a line, keeping the road off the yard. Plain, straight and solid is the brief, and it is one we like.
